Job Description

As an Operational Buyer & Outsourcing Specialist within our Supply Chain team, you are the indispensable link between our (international) suppliers and the internal departments. You are responsible for both the procurement and the manufacturing parts that are outsourced externally. Your goal? Ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time, in the right quantity, and under the right conditions, so that our production never stops.

You are strong in organization, analytical, and communicative. In this role, you place, check, and monitor daily purchase orders. You closely monitor delivery times and take immediate action in case of potential delays. You quickly liaise with the Planning department and maintain intensive contact with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery times, and prices.

Within the team, you have plenty of room for initiative. You handle administrative matters related to complaints, shortages, and invoice discrepancies correctly and address quality issues immediately in collaboration with your colleagues. Additionally, you take a helicopter view of our processes: together with the Logistics department, you optimize inventory levels and independently set the right priorities daily based on the impact on production.

Furthermore, your responsibilities include

• Placing, checking, and monitoring daily purchase orders for procurement and outsourced manufacturing parts;
• Monitoring delivery times and taking proactive action in case of potential delays, in close consultation with the Planning department;
• Maintaining intensive contact with national and international suppliers regarding order confirmations and prices, in consultation with Tactical Procurement;
• Handling administrative tasks related to complaints, shortages, invoice discrepancies, and quality issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
• Optimizing inventory levels in collaboration with the Logistics department;
• Daily prioritizing tasks to prevent critical material shortages or production stops.

Requirements

We are looking for a precise and decisive colleague who is assertive, can switch gears quickly, and can independently set priorities:

• At least a completed vocational education (mbo-4) or higher professional education (hbo) degree, preferably in a logistics, procurement, or business administration field;
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Dutch and English;
• Demonstrable experience with ERP systems and Excel;
• Experience in a technical or production environment is a strong advantage;
• You are proactive, can maintain a good overview, and are able to daily prioritize your tasks based on urgency.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,300 and € 4,500 (depending on knowledge and experience, based on 40 hours);
