Job Description

Job Summary**

As an Operator at BP PLC, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, ensuring production targets are met while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.

Job Responsibilities**

• Execute Control of Work procedures diligently to ensure safe operations and maintenance activities.
• Make cost-conscious decisions regarding operational adjustments and resource utilization to optimize efficiency.
• Perform general maintenance tasks and troubleshooting on plant equipment, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Strictly follow established procedures and practices for all operational and safety protocols.
• Contribute to maintaining overall plant reliability through proactive monitoring and prompt issue resolution.
• Apply robust Risk Management principles to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards.
• Demonstrate strong Safety Leadership by actively promoting a safety-first culture and intervening on unsafe acts or conditions.
• Participate in and support Turnaround activities, ensuring efficient and safe execution of planned maintenance.

Job Qualifications**

• Proven experience with Control of Work systems.
• Demonstrated ability to make cost-conscious decisions in an operational environment.
• Basic understanding and experience with general maintenance practices.
• Strong adherence to established procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of reliability principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with risk management methodologies.
• A strong commitment to Safety Leadership.
• Experience or understanding of turnaround processes.
