About The Role
- đ  Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Porter at Greenmeadow Community Farm, youâll be a vital part of our culinary team, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Hereâs what youâll be doing:
- Dishwashing Dynamo  â Keep our kitchen sparkling by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers
- Kitchen Cleanliness Champion  â Clean and sanitise surfaces, prep areas, and countertops to the highest hygiene standards. Empty bins and manage waste responsibly
- Prep Assistant Extraordinaire  â Support our chefs with basic food prep tasks like peeling, chopping, and slicing fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Inventory Sidekick  â Help receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients so everythingâs in its place when needed
- Safety Star  â Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and ensure all equipment is in good working order, supporting a safe and efficient environment
- đ  Who You Are â What Youâll Bring to the Team
Weâre looking for someone whoâs ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the fast-paced, rewarding world of farm-based hospitality. You donât need formal qualificationsâjust the right attitude and a willingness to learn!
â   No formal education required  â though a high school diploma or equivalent is a bonus
đȘ  Physically fit  â able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items with ease
刻Detail-driven  â you notice the little things and follow instructions carefully
đł  Kitchen-savvy  â basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and hygiene practices is a plus
đ€  Team player  â great communication and a collaborative spirit are essential
