Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

What to Expect

• Pay Rate: 18.27 - 18.67 per hour DOE
• Work Schedule: 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm Rotating Weekends
• Shift Differential: 9% 2nd Shift and 8% Weekend
• Training: Must be able to attend during the day 6:30 am - 3:00 pm either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday for up to 12 weeks.

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
• High School or GED required
• No Experience Required

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Must be able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
• Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
