Electronic Data Delivery Developer

We are looking for an Electronic Data Delivery Developer to join our technology team in Bogotá, Colombia . This role is focused on developing, supporting and improving Electronic Data Delivery solutions for business and laboratory-related processes.

The successful candidate will work as a true software developer supporting EDD-related systems, with responsibilities across backend development, SQL development, data delivery automation, integrations, validation frameworks, file-based data exchange and data pipeline support.

This position requires strong technical development capability as well as a solid understanding of how electronic data is structured, transformed, validated, mapped and delivered to clients. EDD knowledge is a core requirement for the role and should not be treated as optional.

The role will also work directly with business users on a regular basis. The ideal candidate must be able to understand business requirements, troubleshoot EDD-related issues, explain technical problems clearly and work independently within a business environment

 

Key responsibilities include

• Develop, maintain and support Electronic Data Delivery solutions and related systems. 
• Build and troubleshoot backend logic, SQL processes, APIs, file-based integrations and data pipelines. 
• Support data delivery automation, data transformation, structured file exchange and validation workflows. 
• Work with structured data formats and ensure accurate data mapping, validation and delivery to clients. 
• Collaborate directly with business users to gather requirements, clarify issues and provide technical support. 
• Troubleshoot data issues, integration failures, validation errors and delivery-process exceptions. 
• Contribute to additional software development initiatives when EDD workload allows, supporting broader team flexibility.
• Strong hands-on software development experience. 
• Demonstrated experience with Electronic Data Delivery development or support . 
• Strong understanding of structured data exchange, file transformation, data mapping, validation and client-facing data delivery processes. 
• Strong SQL experience, including query development, stored procedures and troubleshooting data issues. 
• Experience with backend services, APIs, file-based integrations, automation, ETL/ELT or data pipeline development. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users, understand requirements and explain technical issues clearly. 
• Ability to work independently in a business-facing technical role. 

 

Preferred qualifications and experience

• Experience with C#/.NET ; similar modern programming experience may also be considered when combined with strong backend and data integration experience. 
• Experience with EQuIS/EarthSoft is strongly preferred. 
• Experience with LIMS , environmental laboratory data or production laboratory support is strongly preferred. 
• Experience in laboratory, healthcare or other regulated data environments. 
• PHP experience is a plus but not required.
