Behind every completed restoration project is an accounting team that keeps vendors paid, projects moving, and financial records accurate.

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership of their work. This isn't a high-volume data entry role. You'll partner closely with our Senior Accounts Payable Specialist while managing your own responsibilities across accounts payable, vendor management, reconciliations, sales tax, and project financial support.

What You'll Do

You'll play an important role in keeping our accounting operations running smoothly by

• Managing vendor and subcontractor invoices from receipt through payment
• Preparing weekly payment runs and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Reviewing invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Preparing and validating monthly sales tax filings
• Performing credit card and accounts payable reconciliations
• Supporting project job costing, internal allocations, and financial closeout activities
• Partnering with project managers and operations to resolve financial questions
• Assisting with vendor onboarding and maintaining vendor documentation
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
• Serving as a knowledgeable resource for accounts payable best practices

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you have

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes and account reconciliations
• Experience working with general ledger transactions
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy

Bonus Points For

• Experience preparing sales tax returns
• Construction, restoration, manufacturing, or project-based accounting experience
• Job costing experience
• QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience
