About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Writer to join our Operational Enablement team. In this role, you'll create clear, engaging, and user-focused documentation that helps customers successfully adopt and maximise the value of our products.
You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Training teams to develop high-quality product documentation while embracing AI-powered tools and modern content creation practices to continuously improve the customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Create, write, and design product enablement content using both traditional and AI-assisted workflows, including help articles, user guides, release notes, FAQs, knowledge base content, and how-to resources.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and Training teams to gather product knowledge and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Design and structure content with a strong focus on readability, accessibility, consistency, and user experience.
- Maintain and continuously improve existing documentation to reflect new features, product enhancements, and customer feedback.
- Develop and maintain content templates, style guides, quality standards, prompt frameworks, and AI governance practices.
- Manage multiple documentation projects and deliverables aligned with product release schedules.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to review and refine documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes through AI, automation, and workflow optimisation.
- Analyse customer feedback, support trends, and product changes to identify knowledge gaps and enhance content quality.
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to accelerate content creation while ensuring accuracy through editorial review and fact verification.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve knowledge delivery and customer enablement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, content creation, or a related field.
- Experience creating documentation or enablement content for software or SaaS products.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, plain language.
- Experience creating well-structured, visually engaging documentation.
- Familiarity with content authoring, knowledge base, or help centre platforms such as MadCap Flare, Zendesk, or Confluence is an advantage.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience within a SaaS or technology organisation is preferred.
- Curiosity about AI technologies and enthusiasm for improving content through innovation and continuous learning.
