Job Description
To perform ice maintenance and day-to-day operational tasks at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center (HBNHC) . To oversee ice surfaces, maintain field of play, operate ice-related equipment, assist with custodial services, and keep scheduled activities on time . To supervise and assist with the training of student staff such as Facility Managers, Facility Supervisors, Game Operations, Pro Shop, Rink Attendants, and Event Staff . To maintain customer service standards providing a clean, safe, and friendly environment for end users .
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 month experience working in ice arena operations
- Basic customer service skills
- Basic experience with ice rink specific equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualification
- Must have a valid Driver’s License for operating a motor vehi cle
- Basic CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience driving heavy equipment or operating ice resurfacers
- Ability to work in cold environment for long periods of time
- Certified Ice Technician designation
