About The Role

Responsible for the cleaning of plant production equipment and facility. Oversees the Sanitation Team in the day-to-day cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment and the plant environment in a thorough and safe manner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage direct reports, including training, evaluation, development, and coaching of employees.
  • Conduct safety audits, attend safety meetings, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Complete accurate production reporting, including timesheets.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve sanitation issues in a timely manner.
  • Practice continuous improvement and maintain a quality-first mindset.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • One year of sanitation experience.
  • One year of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to enforce Food Safety practices, including HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and SQF.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a professional demeanor, and work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of sanitation experience.
  • Two years of leadership experience.
  • Bilingual.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach above the head.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • Work environment noise levels range from normal office settings to loud factory or warehouse settings.

Work Environment

  • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and any shift assignment.
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 35°F to 95°F, with occasional exposure to temperatures above 95°F.
