About the role

Are you a financial modelling professional looking to take the next step in your career with a growing Corporate Finance team? At RSM, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact engagements while helping clients make confident business decisions.

Our Financial Modelling team partners with clients across a range of industries to deliver robust, commercially focused financial models that support transactions, strategic decision-making, valuations, forecasting and business planning.

As a Manager or Senior Manager, you'll play a key role in leading engagements, developing client relationships, mentoring team members, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modelling

  • Lead the development, review and delivery of complex financial models
  • Build and maintain models supporting transactions, forecasting, budgeting, valuations, business planning and investment decisions
  • Prepare clear and concise model documentation and reporting
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with modelling best practices

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing commercial insights and practical solutions
  • Liaise with banks, lawyers, brokers and other professional advisors throughout engagements

Project Management & Communication

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met
  • Coordinate resources and project deliverables across engagement teams
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders

Leadership & Growth

  • Coach, mentor and develop junior team members
  • Support business development activities, proposals and client presentations
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for growth within existing and prospective client relationships

About you

You are a commercially minded financial modelling professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and building trusted relationships. You bring strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to leadership.

You'll Bring

Essential

  • Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting major
  • CA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in financial modelling within Professional Services or a commercial environment
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and technical proficiency across Excel, Macros, VBA, BI and data visualisation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing client engagements and project deliverables
  • Strong ethical standards and professional judgement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience working with banks, lawyers, brokers and other professional advisors

Desirable

  • Exposure to business development activities and client acquisition
  • Experience mentoring and leading high-performing teams
