Activities Assistant - Memory Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Activities Assistant to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful experiences for seniors in our memory care unit. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and memory care restrictions
• Provide personalized support to residents to ensure they are engaged, motivated, and able to participate in activities
• Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into individual care plans
• Monitor and document residents' participation and progress, adjusting activities as needed
• Create a positive, welcoming environment that encourages socialization and emotional well-being
• Assist with daily care activities as needed to support residents' overall quality of life
• Work flexible hours, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet residents' needs

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience working with seniors, especially in memory care or related settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm in developing engaging activities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' individual needs
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Knowledge of memory care best practices and safety protocols is preferred
