Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing daily field operations, trade coordination, and site logistics . This role assists with short-interval planning, safety enforcement, quality checks, and issue tracking to help maintain consistent field execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Superintendent with On-Time Production at Jobsite
- Assist in Trade Coordination and Scheduling to Achieve Profitability on Project
- Assist superintendent in coordinating for Clean and Safe Jobsite and overall positive Client and Community projection at site
- Support daily field execution, manage defined scopes
Competencies
- On-time production planning: Supports production planning by tracking daily progress, assisting with look- aheads , and coordinating upcoming work.
- Effective Sub/vendor coordination: Assists with trade coordination by confirming readiness, tracking progress, and addressing field-level conflicts.
- Jobsite standards: Supports jobsite standards through daily checks, safety follow-ups, and corrective actions.
- Quality control in field: Performs quality checks, tracks deficiencies, and supports corrective actions.
- Documentation & reporting: Assists with collecting, organizing, and submitting field documentation and progress updates.
- Leadership: Reinforces direction, follows up on commitments, and models professional leadership behaviors.
- Budget discipline & resource planning: Tracks manpower , materials, and equipment usage and flags inefficiencies or shortages.

Responsibilities
- Assist Superintendent with daily planning, trade coordination, and production tracking.
- Manage assigned trades or defined areas of the project under direction.
- Conduct site walks and support quality inspections.
- Track inspections, permits, and punch list items to closure.
- Enforce safety and housekeeping standards within assigned areas.
- Coordinate material deliveries and assist with site logistics planning.
- Lead daily huddles or short-interval planning meetings for assigned scopes.

Maintain
accurate jobsite documentation (daily reports, photos, field logs).
- Support look-ahead schedule updates and track constraints.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and sequencing under Superintendent direction.
- Support issue identification and escalate field conflicts early.
- Ensure drawings, specs, and revisions are implemented correctly in the field.
- Monitor manpower levels within assigned scopes and flag resource gaps.
- Assist with preconstruction site planning and project handoff activities.
- Support closeout activities including punch coordination and documentation turnover.
