We are actively seeking a highly motivated Road Freight Operations Manager to join our Road Freight Operations team in Sindos, Thessaloniki.

The Road Freight Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of shipments for clients, overseeing road freight operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily road freight operations (domestic and international)
  • Ensure timely and cost-efficient execution of shipments
  • Coordinate with carriers, subcontractors, and logistics partners
  • Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and service levels
  • Handle operational issues, delays, and escalations proactively
  • Optimize routing, capacity planning, and load consolidation
  • Lead and develop the operations team
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
  • Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of European road transport networks and regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with customers and suppliers
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team spirit and collaborative mindset
  • Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Advanced MS Office skills

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory)
  • 6+ years of experience in road freight / transportation operations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
