Job Description

JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer

REPORTS TO: Creative Director

SUMMARY: Position is responsible for pre-press production and customer art development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and/or manipulate graphics as per request (editing, retouching, color correction, file conversion) according to company SOPs.
• Ability to review requests, understand project scope, and develop designs that meet objectives and requirements in fast paced environment.
• Prepare pre-press production art, including proper preparation of files for decoration including screen-print, heat transfers and embroidery.
• Function as part of the Creative Services team – grow in ability to develop strong graphic collections.
• Develop a working relationship with internal sales management.
• Stay current on design styles and trends.
• QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years minimum of related professional experience preferred. Candidate must provide a professional portfolio with their application.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign.
• Other software we use includes: Google Drive, SalesForce, Microsoft Outlook, Slack.
• Strong understanding of design principles and strong typography skills with an excellent sense for color and graphic prints.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Knowledge of apparel graphic design process: concept development through production.
• Knowledge of screen printing process is a plus.
• Ability to design into different and varying graphic aesthetics.
• Ability to think conceptually with creative vision.
• Must be detail oriented with design, proof reading, production files, and communication.
• Possess effective communication skills and thrives on working within team-based environment.
