HME Intake Specialist

A Day in the Life 

• The HME Intake Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing Home Medical Equipment related requests from the medical community as well as customers. Responsibilities include: Performing insurance verification, obtaining prior authorization, processing insurance changes, and verifying insurance reimbursement requirements are met while maintaining a professional image; reflecting the values of Munson Healthcare.  

What’s Required  

• High School or GED 
• Additional college level courses preferred
• 3 years related office or durable medical equipment experience required, preferably in the health care field. 
• Valid Michigan Driver's License  
• Possesses current Michigan motor vehicle license and an insured vehicle that can be used to complete required errands in various weather conditions.
