About The Role

Purpose: Primary role is to support the smooth running of the commodity Business Team through administrative duties. To assist and work closely with the Commodity Specialist (CS) including updating Baan ITM data and triggering e-flow related to sourcing and procurement. The Commodity Team Administrator will also be helping with quote requests and any information related to parts/services provided by suppliers.

Key Area of Responsibilities

  • Assist CS to request and manage suppliers' quotes to facilitate the correct supplier selection.
  • Follow up closely by expediting with suppliers on the quotes within the required timeline.
  • Escalate to CS if suppliers are not able to submit a quote to meet the quote submission schedule.
  • Assist Commodity Specialist to update latest suppliers' quotes such as lead time and prices.
  • Upon the approval of the triggered E-flow, upload the latest information into the Item Master (ITM).
  • Assist Commodity Specialist to initiate and follow through on any change request, and supply chain order via E-flow.
  • Follow up with the person in charge on the task assigned in the relevant E-flow approval.
  • Provide administrative support to the Commodity team, chase suppliers for overdue items, liaise with other departments.
  • Working together with CS and other functions, help to prepare presentations and reports related to risk assessment arising from events affecting Supply Chain.
  • Support and participate in company continuous improvement program.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently with initiative, and support teamwork.
