About The Role

Build the intelligence behind AI-powered Claims Automation.

Hello there! We're Infrrd.

Haven't heard of us before? No problem (it's pronounced In-fur-d ).

We are Infrrd, an Enterprise AI company helping global enterprises extract data from complex, unstructured documents like invoices, contracts, engineering drawings, and handwritten notes. Our AI goes beyond data extraction to automate end-to-end workflows, reducing manual effort, improving accuracy, and accelerating business operations.

About the Role

We're looking for a Claims Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Business Analyst to help build a next-generation AI-powered claims automation platform from the ground up.

This role blends deep P&C claims domain expertise with hands-on Agile delivery experience. Unlike a traditional claims adjuster or a vendor-platform configuration specialist, this person needs to define claims process, data, and rules from a blank slate, there is no existing platform data model or workflow engine to lean on and translate that directly into user stories an engineering team can build against.

What You'll Do

Domain Translation & Requirements

  • Document the claims process end-to-end and translate adjuster judgment into explicit, codifiable rules
  • Define data fields and structures required at each claims stage from first principles — no pre-built data model to reference
  • Flag regulatory and compliance requirements (unfair claims practices acts, prompt payment laws) that must be reflected in system logic

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Own and prioritize the claims automation backlog; write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Run or co-facilitate sprint ceremonies (planning, backlog refinement, sprint review) as the business-side product owner
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between claims operations stakeholders and the engineering team throughout the build

Rules & Workflow Design (From Scratch, Not Configuration)

  • Design decision logic and workflow states for the custom rules engine — this is definitional work, not tool configuration
  • Validate that automated triage/routing logic matches real adjuster judgment
  • Partner with engineers on schema design for claims data, given there is no existing platform data model to inherit

Documentation & Testing

  • Produce BRDs, FRDs, and process flow diagrams for a system being built from zero
  • Design UAT scenarios from real historical claims, including edge cases
  • Own the feedback loop post-launch, comparing automated decisions against what a human adjuster would have done

Change Management

  • Train claims staff on the new system and where human judgment remains required
  • Build internal buy-in that automation supports, rather than replaces, adjuster judgment on complex claims

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of P&C claims experience (adjuster, senior adjuster, or claims business analyst level), auto claims preferred
  • Demonstrated experience defining requirements, data models, or workflows independent of a specific vendor platform — or clear ability to reason about claims process separate from how anyone tool implements it
  • Agile/Scrum product owner experience (CSPO or equivalent), with real hands-on backlog ownership, not just certification
  • Insurance foundational credential (AINS, AIC, or equivalent) — AIC preferred given its claims-specific focus over AINS's general scope
  • Strong written documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) built from scratch, not adapted from existing templates

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter, Duck Creek, or other insurance claims platforms.
  • Exposure to custom-built insurance systems or greenfield product development.
  • Experience defining claims data models or workflows beyond vendor platform configuration.
  • CSPO or equivalent Agile Product Owner certification.

Why Infrrd?

  • Help build an AI-powered claims platform from the ground up.
  • Shape how enterprise insurance companies automate complex claims decisions.
  • Work alongside Product, AI, and Engineering teams solving real-world business challenges.
  • Make a direct impact on products used by global enterprises.

If you're passionate about combining deep claims expertise with technology to build intelligent automation that transforms the insurance industry, we'd love to meet you.
