Role overview

• We are seeking a Digital Policy Intern to support Tayari’s impact
• grants and broader digital policy initiatives. The intern will assist
• with research, drafting policy briefs, grant documentation, and
• coordination with partners. This is a virtual role suitable for a
• Master’s student in public policy, digital rights, international
• development, or related fields. Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)

Key responsibilities

• Research digital policy issues relevant to Tayari’s programs and

impact grant areas.

• Draft short policy briefs, memos, and grant inputs.
• Support grant application prep and evidence collection for impact grants.
• Assist with stakeholder mapping and outreach for policy-related partnerships.
• Support monitoring and reporting of policy-related activities.
• Attend weekly virtual team check-ins and provide progress updates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s degree in

Public Policy, Digital Rights, International Development, Law, or

related field.

• Strong research and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise briefs.
• Interest in digital policy, governance, or impact-focused work.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively across timezones.
• Prior experience with grants, research, or policy work is a plus.
