Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads, coaches, and develops a team of Territory Managers (TMs) to drive regional sales performance and successful execution of Pelthos Therapeutics’ commercial strategy. The RSM is accountable for achieving regional business objectives by translating company priorities into effective field execution, developing the capabilities and performance of the sales team, and fostering strong customer and cross-functional partnerships. The RSM serves as a visible field leader who uses data, market insights, and coaching to optimize performance while ensuring the team operates with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to ethical and compliant behavior.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers to achieve individual and regional sales objectives and execute company-approved commercial and marketing strategies
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, recognition, and development to strengthen selling skills, business acumen, product knowledge, and overall effectiveness
  • Conduct consistent field rides and in-person coaching with Territory Managers to observe customer interactions, identify development opportunities, reinforce expectations, and support continuous improvement
  • Manage all aspects of Territory Manager performance, including sales results, territory execution, administrative responsibilities, compliance, development, and career progression
  • Develop and execute comprehensive regional business plans that align with company goals, identify growth opportunities, address business challenges, and optimize regional performance
  • Analyze sales data, market dynamics, customer trends, access considerations, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and translate insights into actionable regional and territory strategies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Pelthos products, disease states, treatment guidelines, market dynamics, competitor landscape, and customer needs, and coach Territory Managers to effectively apply this knowledge in the field
  • Partner with Territory Managers to strengthen territory business planning, prioritization, account strategy, and effective use of company resources
  • Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare professionals, customers, and stakeholders across the region, while supporting Territory Managers in the development of strategic customer relationships
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and field-based partners to communicate market insights, address evolving customer and business needs, align on strategic priorities, and support overall company objectives
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, engage, and retain high-performing Territory Managers while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team culture
  • Manage the regional budget and company resources responsibly and in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and business priorities
  • Represent Pelthos with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to ethical and compliant behavior, and reinforce these expectations consistently across the regional team
  • Actively contribute to sales leadership meetings and broader commercial initiatives by sharing regional insights, challenges, opportunities, and best practices
  • Maintain a strong field presence across the assigned region, including regular travel with Territory Managers, customer engagement, company meetings, training events, and programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 5+ years of successful biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience, including demonstrated leadership, coaching, or people management experience
  • Prior pharmaceutical or biotech sales management experience strongly preferred
  • Dermatology, Pediatrics, specialty pharmaceutical, product launch, or startup experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and improving team performance through effective coaching, leadership, and business planning
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing sales professionals
  • Business Acumen: Strong proficiency in data analysis, business planning, and the use of analytics and market insights to drive sales performance
  • Customer Engagement: Proven ability to build credibility and productive relationships with healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders
  • Clinical Acumen: Strong ability to understand and communicate scientific, clinical, and product information and coach others to do the same
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify regional opportunities and challenges and translate insights into clear, actionable strategies
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Adaptability: Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region and nationally as needed, including regular overnight travel, field rides, meetings, training events, conferences and programs

Physical & Environmental Requirements

The essential functions of this position include

  • Lift up to 25lbs on an occasional basis
  • Stand, walk, sit, climb and balance on a frequent basis
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on an occasional basis
  • Reach, hands and arms on a frequent basis
  • Use hands to feel on an occasional basis
  • Communicate using hearing and speech on a frequent basis (in-person and/or virtual)
  • Use vision (color difference, depth perception) on a frequent basis
  • Up to 75% of travel
