The Computer Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting end user workstation hardware and peripheral devices. Keeps inventory of monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, peripheral devices
  • Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for end users and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment
  • Monitor and test PC performance and provide PC performance statistics and reports
  • Install and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems
  • Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts.
  • Install software and image PC hardware as needed
  • Maintain, order and setup remote devices such as iPhones, iPads and laptops
  • Travel within market and to other markets as needed to include overnight stays
  • Maintain applicable service level agreement pertaining to department ticket queue
  • Responsible for laptop encryption and security
  • Responsible for maintaining proper stock level of standard devices ready for deployment
  • Responsible for Preventative Maintenance of the Instant Issue Printers
  • Responsible for performing health checks in all branches
  • Possess a high level of technical skill expertise and ability
  • Furthers technical knowledge via self-study and pursue industry standard certifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s Degree, or Technical Certification in work-related field
