About The Role

The General Clerk II/Front Desk Receptionist is the face of our worksite, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well‑run office.

This role combines receptionist, visitor management, workplace compliance, supplies and shipping coordination, light auditing support, event logistics, and day‑to‑day administrative operations.

Selected candidate will provide full-time onsite support at our Sierra Vista, AZ facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist all visitors, manage sign‑in/sign‑out logs, issue temporary badges, and ensure proper escort procedures are followed.
  • Ensure Quality Environmental Health and Safety (QEHS) practices are utilized on site, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support annual Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) updates.
  • Perform routine safety checks such as monthly fire‑extinguisher inspections per site guidance.
  • Keep breakroom stocked (snacks, drinks) and maintain weekly/biweekly inventory
  • Coordinate office supplies (paper, pens, cups, coffee, etc.) through approved vendors and company portals.
  • Manage the petty cash box for approved morale and breakroom items.
  • Coordinate outgoing shipping—primarily via FedEx—including account access, supplies, charge, and occasional international shipments.
  • Conduct bi-weekly timesheet reviews of direct employees to ensure compliance with both DCAA and company policies.
  • Support company volunteer initiatives and seasonal drives in coordination with designated contacts.
  • Plan and execute site events (seasonal potlucks, cook‑offs, holiday activities, birthdays).
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to site staff and leadership.
  • Other duties as required.

What You’ll Need To Succeed (Required)

Bring your administrative expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The General Clerk II must have

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Experience: 1+ years of related experience.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret security clearance.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and comfort working in SharePoint‑based resources and trackers.
  • Strong attention to detail, customer service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a public‑facing environment.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.39 - $24.87. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
