Job Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, storage, and outbound shipment of materials, components, and finished goods within AirPro Diagnostics' manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains compliance with shipping documentation and safety standards, and supports uninterrupted material flow between receiving, production, and distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable operating warehouse equipment and computerized inventory systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks using a manual pallet jack or hand truck; verify piece counts against packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading.
- Inspect incoming materials and components for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, and document/report any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Purchasing.
- Enter received items into inFlow Inventory accurately and promptly.
- Label, sort, and stage incoming materials for put-away in designated storage locations.
- Route received components to production, quality inspection, or storage as required.
Shipping
- Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders (finished goods, repaired units, or replacement parts) according to pick tickets and shipping schedules.
- Verify order accuracy (quantity, part number, condition) prior to packaging and shipment.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to protect products during transit, including electronic/diagnostic equipment requiring special handling.
- Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and carrier documentation (e.g., FedEx, LTL freight, bills of lading) using Worldwide Express shipping software and FedEx Ship Manager.
- Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate with freight carriers for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Process and document return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) and warranty returns as applicable.
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records by entering transactions directly into inFlow Inventory.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized, labeled storage of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support FIFO/lot-traceability requirements.
- Complete and file required shipping/receiving records, including customs, hazardous materials, or regulatory documentation where applicable to diagnostic equipment and components.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving dock and warehouse work area.
- Follow all safety protocols related to lifting, equipment operation, and handling of sensitive or fragile diagnostic equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or facility issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or management.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment; experience with electronics, medical devices, or diagnostic equipment is a plus.
- Experience operating a manual pallet jack and other material handling equipment preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (inFlow Inventory preferred); willingness and ability to learn inFlow Inventory required.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and recording inventory transactions.
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Good organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and reconciling inventory quantities.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance or mechanical aid.
- Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack and other warehouse material handling equipment.
- Manual dexterity required for labeling, packaging, and computer data entry.
- Ability to work in an environment with variable temperatures (dock areas, warehouse floor) and exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing and warehouse setting, including time spent on the shipping/receiving dock, warehouse floor, and occasionally outdoors when loading/unloading trucks. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes and, when applicable, gloves and eye protection. Noise levels are typically moderate to high due to material handling equipment and dock activity.
