We are seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Consumer Markets Division (CMD). This position may be based in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC. This role follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office (on-site). If you are not currently located near one of our offices, we offer comprehensive relocation assistance.
This highly visible leadership role will serve as a strategic partner to senior executives and business leaders, providing financial leadership, business insights, and decision support that help drive profitable growth, optimize performance, and advance key strategic objectives.
As the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the Consumer Markets Division by connecting financial outcomes to business strategy, influencing enterprise decisions, and leading a high-performing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to operate as a key member of the CMD leadership team with broad influence across Product, Distribution, Inforce Management, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
How You'll Make an Impact…
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CMD executives on business performance, growth opportunities, strategic priorities, and financial implications
- Translate complex financial and business information into actionable recommendations that support executive decision-making
- Evaluate strategic opportunities, investments, and initiatives that impact long-term business growth and profitability
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute business plans aligned with divisional and enterprise objectives
- Provide thought leadership on market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
Financial Leadership
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and business analysis activities across assigned business areas
- Drive disciplined financial decision-making through rigorous analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Monitor business performance and provide insights that improve profitability, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness
- Support capital management, financial stewardship, and risk-adjusted decision-making
- Ensure alignment between financial objectives and business strategy
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with leaders across Product Development, Distribution, Inforce Management, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Corporate Finance
- Influence decisions across the end-to-end business value chain
- Foster alignment among stakeholders while balancing customer, operational, financial, and strategic considerations
- Lead and support enterprise initiatives that drive long-term value creation
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals
- Create an environment that fosters accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and strategic workforce management
- Develop future leaders and strengthen the overall finance organization
The Experience You Bring…
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, actuarial, strategic planning, or related business disciplines
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives to influence strategy and major business decisions
- Strong financial acumen with experience in planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic analysis
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience operating effectively within complex, matrixed organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, Master's degree, or other advanced degree
- Experience within life insurance, annuities, financial services, or a related industry
- Understanding of actuarial, finance, risk, product, distribution, and operational drivers within a large financial services organization
- Experience supporting large-scale strategic initiatives, organizational transformation, or enterprise-level decision-making

Base Salary Range: $245,000 - $275,000+
Base Pay Range
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
