Assembly Laborer

About The Role
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Pay: ($15.50 hr - goes to $17.00 after 90 days)
Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on production needs.
Position Summary
We are hiring dependable Assembly Associates to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation in Sterling Heights. In this role, you will work as part of a production team assembling automotive bumper systems and components while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
This is a hands-on position well suited for individuals who are comfortable working on their feet, using basic tools, and performing repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Assemble automotive bumper systems and related components according to work instructions and production specifications
- Install bolts, screws, clips, wiring, and other components
- Operate basic hand tools, drills, and other assembly equipment
- Inspect completed parts for quality, proper fit, and accuracy
- Identify and report defects or assembly concerns
- Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures
- Maintain required production pace and efficiency
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Work closely with team members, team leaders, and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Perform other production or assembly duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or automotive assembly experience is helpful, but not required
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn different assembly processes and job functions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift
- Ability to safely use hand tools and production equipment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
