About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over three hundred outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over forty different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allow those who work in these clinics the opportunity to gain experience and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

The Operations Manager provides operational oversight for four departments: Cardiovascular Surgery, the Ernst Cardiovascular Center, Troy Heart & Vascular Clinic, and the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic. Leading a dedicated team of 25 staff members, this role supports 15 providers and 5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across the service line, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional patient care, and seamless coordination across all departments.

The ideal candidate brings significant healthcare operations experience, strong business acumen, and proven leadership within a complex clinical environment.

This on-site, Monday–Friday position is ideal for a proactive, independent leader who is eager to contribute to continued operational excellence and organizational growth.

Scope of work

Responsible for the activities of team members within practices and oversees the delivery of optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction in collaboration with dyad partners. Trains team members and serves as a liaison between providers, team members and director in daily operations. Responsible for charge capture processing, standard work, process improvement and practice staffing. Manages team member performance and development and ensures policy adherence. Manages multiple sites and specialty programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, management, healthcare administration, or a related field Required.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business, management, healthcare administration, or related field Preferred.
  • Five (5) years of relevant healthcare or medical practice experience Required.
  • Three (3) years of recent supervisory or management experience Required.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Required.
