THIS POSITION IS HYBRID AND WILL REQUIRE CANDIDATES TO WORK IN THE FOLLOWING UPS IT LOCATIONS: NEW JERSEY, ATLANTA, MARYLAND, AND KENTUCKY OFFICE 3 DAYS A WEEK

About the Role

The Senior Product Manager, AI Governance Platforms & Automation executes the governance capabilities and platform areas that make AI governance run at scale. With the strategy and roadmap set by the Lead, this role owns delivery: building and improving the workflows, automation, and lifecycle tooling that govern AI solutions from intake through retirement.

Partnering with Legal, Privacy, Security, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, and delivery teams, the Senior Product Manager turns governance requirements into working platform capabilities on IBM watsonx.governance and connected tooling—reducing manual effort and making governance consistent and repeatable.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver and continuously improve assigned governance platform areas and capabilities across the AI lifecycle.
  • Design and build workflow automation that embeds governance into intake, risk assessment, monitoring, drift management, incident response, and change control.
  • Configure and maintain governance capabilities in watsonx.governance and integrated tooling.
  • Write requirements and user stories that advance automation, usability, and efficiency for assigned areas.
  • Operationalize lifecycle governance for AI agents, reusable assets, prompts, models, inventories, and artifacts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for governance platform capabilities, controls, policies, and lifecycle processes.
  • Keep assigned capabilities aligned to policies, standards, and external frameworks, and produce implementation guidance and enablement materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in AI/data governance, platform or product delivery, risk, or related technology roles.
  • Experience delivering enterprise governance capabilities, platforms, or automation.
  • Experience running cross-functional delivery involving business and technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, and the AI lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience configuring governance platform s (IBM watsonx.governance or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with AI Governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and the EU AI Act).
  • Experience with Agile delivery and product lifecycle management.
  • Professional certifications such as IAPP AIGP.

Pay Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,440/year to $191,700/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
