NE15 Position Summary

The individual will serve as a Laboratory Technicians in the Pharmacy Technology Certificate program. Responsibilities may include teaching portions of course work in the program; conducting or assisting in lab skills and evaluations. This course is taught on-line and you will be responsible for online teaching and preparing videos for the students lectures and labs as needed.

Assistant will have the ability to use San Juan College’s Learning Management System (Canvas) as well as technology-enhanced curriculum.

Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.

Demonstrates skill and willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.

A Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed with the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy is required; teaching experience preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a pharmacy. The successful candidate will value diversity and have a multicultural perspective with adult/minority students; and, have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy and the Pharmacy Technology program. Experience with or willing to learn with computer assisted instruction highly desired. This position requires assisting the primary instructor with online labs.
