About The Role

Assist faculty in preparing labs and maintaining a clean, organized, and functional environment for optometry training. Ideal for KYCO students interested in clinical and laboratory support experience.

Responsibilities and Career Competencies

  • Assist faculty in preparing for lab and proficiencies – C, TW, P
  • Maintain and organize laboratory space – P, T, CSD
  • Monitor supplies in laboratory and assist with re-orders – P, T, CT
  • Restock supplies in laboratory lanes – P, T
  • Inform appropriate people if lab equipment needs maintenance – C, P, T
  • Assist with other tasks necessary to ensure proper functioning of labs – TW, P, CT

Work Schedule: Wednesday & Friday: 4:00pm - 5:00pm; Monday varies; other days: no hours. Hours flexible to accommodate student schedule; priority during open hours and special events.

Work Conditions: Normal office environment.

Physical Demands: Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs.

Pay Rate: $12.50/hour

Location: HPE, 4th and 5th floor Methods Lab
