What’s The Role

We're looking for a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our high-performing team at our Derrimut workshop in Melbourne.

Working Monday to Friday, you'll maintain a modern fleet using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest diagnostic technology. We offer two permanent shifts to suit your lifestyle:

  • Morning Shift: 5:30am start
  • Afternoon Shift: 1.00pm start (shift allowance applies)

What You’ll Do

Reliability is the cornerstone in transport, you will be an essential part ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest level:

  • Vehicle maintenance and repair – repairing, replacing and diagnosing issues across a variety of fleet vehicles (prime movers, rigids and trailers)
  • Perform major repairs including midlife’s and brake/bearing overhauls and servicing
  • Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture
  • Accurately completing maintenance and repair documentation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
  • Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
  • Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW
  • Basic computer skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic
