About The Role
Schedule: On-site 2 days/week (8:30 AM–3:30 PM) + flexible remote hours for meetings, documentation, and consultation
The Center for Excellence in Early Education at United Way Miami is seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Consultant to support the healthy development and emotional well-being of young children, families, and educators in our CFE Demonstration School program.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom observations and promote positive social-emotional development
- Support educators with developmental screenings (e.g., ASQ:SE, DECA) and individualized intervention planning
- Provide consultation to teachers and families on behavioral and developmental needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary child reviews, parent conferences, and staff trainings
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in ChildPlus
- Assist with referrals, service coordination, and strengthening community connections
Requirements
- Active Florida license as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent
- Specialized experience in infant and early childhood mental health
- Strong foundation in early childhood development, trauma-informed care, and family-centered practices
- Proficient in tools such as ASQ:SE, DECA, PSI, and ChildPlus
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
