About The Role
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent: some college coursework or equivalent field specific experience preferred.
- Knowledge of legal terminology.
- Computer literacy with excellent data entry skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure conditions to meet deadlines, with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with individuals of all socio-economic backgrounds, both in person and by phone.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a strong attendance record.
- Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES
- Serves as court clerk in misdemeanor court.
- File misdemeanor cases and all related documents.
- Issue court documents, such as warrants, subpoenas, commitments.
- Enter court dispositions into operating system: scan and verify documents filed and issued.
- Prepare transcripts for submission to the Court of Appeals.
- Provide professional assistance to the public in person and by telephone.
- File reports with the State.
- Scan and maintain official records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including possible overtime.
SALARY: FROM: $33,953.00.00/ANNUALLY
