About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support the dental practice's daily operations. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the doctor during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials following infection control protocols.
  • Take digital x-rays, create treatment plans, and enter progress notes.
  • Maintain accurate medical information, including health histories, med lists, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-op instructions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Support the practice in maintaining an aseptic environment through proper infection control measures.

Skills

  • Proficient in charting with the doctor and RDH with a high level of dental terminology.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a dental clinic setting.
  • Must be familiar with different imaging techniques relevant to dentistry- periapical, panoramic, and bitewing.
  • Expanded duties desired- provisional fabrication and cement, gingival retraction.
  • iTero scanning experience helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
