Growth Lead
Clera · San Francisco, United States
About The Role
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a high-trust, cross-functional role at an early-stage AI infrastructure company building the platform for reinforcement learning environments and post-training data. As Growth Lead, you will own recruiting, culture, and community from the ground up, acting as a key evangelist for the company's vision across the frontier AI ecosystem. The impact here is direct: you will shape who joins the team and how the company shows up in the world.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Tell the company's story and build excitement around its mission through worldbuilding and content.
- Find, connect with, and meet candidates, AI engineers, researchers, and other key players in the AI ecosystem.
- Define company culture and values, then screen candidates and build an onboarding process grounded in them.
- Own end-to-end recruiting operations, including systems, tooling, and automated workflows, in partnership with the Chief of Staff.
- Host and represent the company at community and industry events alongside the Marketing and Events Lead.
- Collaborate with GTM Engineers to identify and open pathways to high-priority leads and partners.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 8 years of experience across recruiting, community building, content creation, or GTM at early-stage startups.
- Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end recruiting processes and build or optimize recruiting operations and tooling.
- Experience finding and engaging technical communities, whether through sourcing, ecosystem building, or business development.
- Strong interpersonal skills: well-spoken, extraverted, and skilled at reading people and building relationships.
- Ability to understand complex technical products in the AI or ML space and explain them clearly and accurately.
- Experience defining company culture and developing new hire onboarding programs.
- Track record creating content for marketing or community engagement, with a portfolio of writing samples.
- Genuine enthusiasm for frontier AI models and a clear point of view on how great technical companies tell stories.
- Established network within RL research, RL engineering, or the broader startup community is a strong plus.
- Comfort operating independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with evolving scope.
