Job Description

Pay Range: Commensurate with Industry Experience

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday and additional days as needed

Position Summary

The position of Construction Quality Control Manager has the overall responsibility of developing, implementing, and managing the quality control program for the project. Must ensure sufficient and controlled systems are in place to maintain the integrity of the project plans and that all methods and procedures contained in the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP) are implemented and followed correctly by all personnel so that operations are executed in a compliant manner .

Job Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain the C onstruction Q uality M anagement S ystem for the project including the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
Oversee field Quality Control activities .
Perform quality report s , audits and oversee QA and QC documentation and test results
Ensure compliance with contract documents, the QMP and with Federal, State, Local, ISO 9001 and other regulatory laws and standards.
Maintain and report the quality management system records as required by the project QMP and Company corporate requirements .
Manage all nonconformities at the project level and lead the root cause analysis and the implementation of any corrective and preventive actions.
Attend meetings related with Quality issues.
Distribute relevant QC documentation to site subcontractors and other teams and stakeholders
Verify and oversee that the construction site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
Develop and implement Quality Training s and perform QC Audit s to the project and subcontractors .
Jointly, with Construction and Procurement departments, review contractual specifications of all materials to be used on the project.
Perform evaluation s of consultant s and subcontractors as specified in the QMP.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s D egree in C ivil E ngineering , Construction Science, or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of ten ( 10 ) years of experience of progressive responsibility in quality control manager position.
Must have relevant construction quality control management experience on projects of similar type and scope
Experience on large highway , bridge /structures, paving, and/or utility relocation projects as a contractor.
Applicable certifications in Quality and Construction.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and document control systems.
Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
