Job Overview

Job Summary**

Operate heavy civil and mechanical equipment for Primoris Renewable Energy projects, specifically focusing on electrical infrastructure and trenching operations. This role is non-driving, primarily involving on-site equipment operation and support for electrical installations.

Job Responsibilities**

Operate excavators, trenchers, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy equipment for trenching, excavation, and backfilling related to electrical conduit and cable installation.
Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisors.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating equipment in a construction environment.
Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment on job sites.
Support the electrical team with various tasks, including but not limited to, pulling cable, setting foundations, and general site preparation.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications**

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
Proven experience with trenching and excavation for electrical infrastructure is highly preferred.
Ability to operate various equipment types, including excavators, trenchers, backhoes, and skid steers.
Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and practices.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or schematics related to trenching and electrical installations.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
