The Manager, Infusion Pharmacy is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and performance of Duly Health and Care's Infusion Pharmacy services. This role oversees daily pharmacy operations, supervises pharmacy staff, and partners with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to support patient access, reimbursement accuracy, and high-quality infusion and specialty pharmacy services. The Manager reports to the Director of Pharmacy and serves as an operational leader supporting Duly's integrated care delivery model.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Infusion Pharmacy Operations

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight for Infusion Pharmacy services, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff to achieve operational, quality, financial, and service excellence goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including therapy starts, turnaround times, patient satisfaction, adherence, and productivity, and escalate trends to the Director of Pharmacy as needed.
  • Support and help maintain policies, procedures, and workflows that ensure operational consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Financial Performance and Business Support

  • Partner with Finance and pharmacy leadership to support day-to-day revenue and margin performance.
  • Identify and help implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as directed by the Director of Pharmacy.
  • Use data and reporting to support informed day-to-day operational decisions.

People Leadership and Team Development

  • Directly supervise pharmacy staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, staff development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the pharmacy team.
  • Communicate departmental goals, expectations, and performance standards to staff.
  • Support the professional growth of pharmacy team members.

Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Support maintenance of required pharmacy licenses, registrations, certifications, and accreditations.
  • Oversee day-to-day compliance related to sterile compounding, medication handling, storage, and dispensing practices.
  • Support regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and help implement operational updates as needed.

Quality, Patient Experience, and Research Support

  • Support initiatives that improve patient access, safety, adherence, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing teams, and clinical leaders on medication management initiatives.
  • Use performance data to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Support operational oversight for investigational drug and clinical research pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental committees and interdisciplinary workgroups as assigned.
  • Build collaborative relationships with providers, operational leaders, payers, manufacturers, and external partners.
  • Support the implementation of new pharmacy programs, therapies, and initiatives.
  • Serve as a pharmacy operations resource for departmental initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure, and Certification

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
  • Current Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacist experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience within specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, ambulatory pharmacy, or related healthcare operations required.
  • Experience supervising leaders, pharmacists, and/or pharmacy technicians preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy financial management, reimbursement optimization, medication access programs, and operational improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Experience supporting clinical research programs, investigational drug services, or infusion-based therapies preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $125,000-188,000 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
