About The Role

Kent is looking for a Preservation Coordinator to coordinate equipment and system preservation activities on the Woodfibre LNG Project in Squamish, British Columbia. The role will help ensure equipment remains protected and maintained from receipt and installation through construction, commissioning, and final turnover.

Skills and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the project preservation program for equipment, materials, packages, and systems.
  • Maintain preservation schedules, registers, records, and inspection requirements.
  • Ensure vendor preservation requirements are identified and implemented.
  • Coordinate preservation activities with Construction, Warehousing, Completions, Commissioning, Quality, and Operations.
  • Perform and coordinate field inspections to verify preservation status.
  • Monitor preservation requirements for rotating equipment, static equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation, packaged equipment, piping, and stored materials.
  • Identify overdue or non-compliant preservation activities and coordinate corrective action.
  • Verify preservation requirements during periods of construction delay, storage, system turnover, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate de-preservation activities prior to commissioning and start-up.
  • Maintain accurate preservation records within the applicable project management/completions system.
  • Support preservation audits and reporting.
  • Liaise with vendors regarding specialist preservation requirements.
  • Ensure preservation activities comply with HSSEQ and manufacturer requirements.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification

  • Technical diploma, trade qualification, engineering background, or equivalent project experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in preservation, construction, completions, commissioning, maintenance, or materials management.
  • Experience on LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, or major industrial projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment preservation practices and vendor requirements.
  • Strong documentation, tracking, and coordination skills.
  • Experience with electronic completions, preservation, or maintenance management systems preferred.
  • Strong Excel and reporting capability.

Communication

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
