The Structural Engineer conducts stress, and fatigue analysis of aerospace components using conventional both hand calc and computer-based analysis methods. This role assesses the integrity of metallic and composite aerospace products and works to defined design parameters for aerospace component parts.
What You Will Do
- Conduct stress and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components.
- Perform structural analysis using both conventional hand calc and computer-based analysis methods.
- Develop and document structural activities to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
- Work to defined design parameters to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
- Provide solutions to technical problems within assigned scope and complexity.
- Use , create and validate Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
- Communicate problems, issues, and opportunities to peers and supervision.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across international locations.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Aerospace Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, or similar software applications.
- Experience with load paths and airframe design using metals and composites.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience conducting stress, and fatigue analysis of aerospace components.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
