Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate must have 0-8 years of mechanical design experience. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus. Candidate should have knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM software and AutoCAD software.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000.00 - $109,800.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Develop new concepts, create layouts, and detail designs.
Perform in-depth engineering analysis and calculations.
Coordinate with engineers of other disciplines to ensure a functional design.
Supervise designers and drafters in preparation of production drawings.
Estimate cost and design requirements for external customers.
Support manufacturing and field installation of equipment.
Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations.

Education

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience
