Job Summary
Monitors the development and optimization of moderately complex project schedules to drive successful and timely project delivery. Partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to align scheduling strategies with organizational priorities and resource planning. Evaluates project performance metrics to identify trends, anticipate and mitigate risks, and recommend strategic adjustments for enhanced outcomes. Proactively documents, escalates, and communicates schedule constraints, risks, and issues, influencing timely decision-making and resolution across project teams. Utilizes leading practices in planning and scheduling, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Influences the planning and scheduling function by collaborating across teams and providing guidance to peers and less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, maintains, implements, and monitors comprehensive project schedules for multiple or large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborates with project teams and external partners to resolve moderately complex scheduling challenges and optimize resource allocation.
- Analyzes project data and performance indicators to forecast risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive informed decision-making.
- Communicates schedule status, critical path updates, and potential impacts to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Ensures compliance with established scheduling standards, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
- Leads post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into future planning processes.
- Supports less experienced team members in planning and scheduling issues and provides technical expertise based on leading practices.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience
4 - 6 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or a related field required.
Anticipated starting pay range
