Job Description
We are looking for an Events Manager to oversee all aspects of organizing and participating in event exhibitions. This position will be a 6-12 month contract, full-time, and remote .
This role involves managing 10 trade events per year worldwide. The assignment duration is 12 months. Hours will be approximately 28 per week for the first 5 months, increasing to 40 hours per week from March through June (4 months), then returning to 28 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
- Develop objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of internal and external company/customer or marketing events, including workshops, seminars, trade shows, product demonstrations, etc., to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads
- Manage contracts and secure vendors for exhibition booths
- Plan logistics, such as transportation and setup, for approximately 10 trade events per year worldwide
- Coordinate event activities and collaborate with the business team to promote the event, encourage attendance, and track performance
- Partner with marketing, sales, and product colleagues to identify key areas of focus and ensure documents and/or materials (promotional materials, product samples, etc.) are provided
- Provide onsite leadership to ensure all aspects of the event are executed properly
- Follow up with attendees as required to ensure event success, optimize future events, and evaluate ROI
- Develop and implement exhibition hall layouts and activities programs, including assembling and organizing facility requirements, managing mailing lists, administering attendee tracking and/or registration, and developing schedules and assignments for event personnel
- Coordinate facility, exhibit set-up, equipment, and catering requirements
- Research potential event locations and evaluate alternatives
What You’ll Need
Required
- 2 years of experience as an Event Manager
- Deep knowledge in area of accountability and broad knowledge of related functions
- Ability to make recommendations to business strategy and develop operational plans in support of that strategy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work onsite and manage event logistics
Preferred
- Experience handling international trade events
- Familiarity with event management software and registration platforms
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers/team members over the phone and in person
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$55-$58 per hour The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
