What is the Senior Sales Associate responsible for?

The Senior Sales Associate is a key member of the Retail Sales Team, dedicated to delivering exceptional sales and relationship management support to investment advisors. To be successful in the role, the incumbent would be an excellent communicator, have strong attention to detail, and be highly organized.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Senior Sales Associate?

  • Facilitate the Wholesaler’s access to existing Investment Advisors within a defined sales territory, which includes assisting in the coordination of group meetings.
  • Proactively plan and organize business promotional activities and client appreciation events, including roadshows, workshops, and conferences on behalf of the team, in partnership with marketing.
  • Administer and process all sales practice requests, while remaining compliant both with the National Instrument 81-105 and Franklin Templeton’s internal compliance policies.
  • Ensure client-related information is captured accurately in our client relationship management (CRM) database.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks, including responding to inquiries from advisors, coordinating with internal/external partners, and fulfilling promotional requests.
  • Act as a conduit to all sales and marketing activities to ensure maximum impact in the defined sales territory.
  • Lead weekly team meetings, while ensuring efficiency, innovation and consistency in territory management.
  • Opportunity to participate in special projects and national initiatives.

What ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or related discipline
  • 1-year financial industry experience preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Completion of IFIC mutual funds course or CSC is an asset
  • Knowledge of the mutual fund industry and Franklin Templeton products
  • Given the breadth of Franklin Templeton’s coverage support model, fluency in written and spoken French is an asset

Work Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid role that requires employees to work in the Toronto office 4 days per week.

We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $51,000-$62,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience and discretionary bonus.
