About The Role

Primary Function of Position

The Senior Product Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the commercialization of the Multiport portfolio across Europe, spanning da Vinci X, Xi, and da Vinci 5. The role develops and executes portfolio, marketing and sales strategies that drive adoption, support business growth, and strengthen portfolio positioning across customer segments.

The position is responsible for the successful lifecycle management of existing Multiport platforms while preparing the region for future platform launches and upgrades, ensuring Intuitive can offer the right portfolio solution to customers across Europe.

This role works closely with European and Global Marketing, Customer Training, Commercial Learning, Sales, and Operations teams to drive portfolio utilization and commercial success across targeted procedures and specialties. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio positioning and differentiation strategies across the Multiport portfolio including da Vinci X, Xi and da Vinci 5, ensuring clear customer segmentation and platform positioning based on procedural needs, hospital profile and economic value.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, software releases, platform upgrades and portfolio initiatives, partnering with European and Global Marketing, Sales, Customer Training, Commercial Learning, and other cross-functional teams to drive adoption and utilization.
  • Develop and evolve the Multiport value proposition, translating clinical, operational and economic outcomes into compelling customer messaging and sales enablement tools.
  • Lead the European commercialization of the Multiport value proposition, translating clinical, operational, and economic outcomes into compelling customer messaging and sales enablement tools.
  • Develop and maintain procedural expertise and strategic surgeon relationships through case attendance and collaboration with Clinical and Country Marketing teams to inform portfolio strategy, commercialization plans and customer value messaging.
  • Partner with Global Marketing and EU Marketing Operations to support portfolio planning, lifecycle management, product availability and end-of-life strategies.
  • Develop analytical and scalable tools to monitor portfolio performance, competitive dynamics, market opportunities and commercialization effectiveness, and translate insights into recommended actions.
  • Develop and leverage European reference centers demonstrating the clinical, operational and economic value of the Multiport portfolio across different customer segments, hospital profiles and procedure mix.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales or marketing within a medical device, surgical technology or therapeutic company.
  • Experience in capital medical devices, surgical technologies, robotics, digital healthcare solutions, or healthcare technology commercialization strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop portfolio positioning, value propositions, commercialization strategies, and successful product launches.
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to translate market and customer insights into portfolio strategy and actions that drive adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and competing priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with AI tools to increase efficiency.
  • The job holder should be based in Aubonne, Switzerland, or Freiburg, Germany.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.

Die Vergütung richtet sich nach der Jobstufe sowie der Qualifikationen der Kandidatin bzw. des Kandidaten, selbstverständlich unter Berücksichtigung aller gesetzlichen Vorgaben.
