About The Role

The Commercial Account Executive is a quota-carrying sales role responsible for driving net new revenue growth across a portfolio of industries. This individual owns the full sales cycle — identifying, qualifying, managing and closing opportunities — both through direct prospecting and in close collaboration with IFS's partner ecosystem. Working hand-in-hand with the Channel team, the Commercial Account Executive ensures that partner-influenced and partner-sourced opportunities are jointly progressed to close, while also supporting partners to build their own self-generated pipeline. Success will be measured through booked net new revenue and the quality and predictability of pipeline generated across direct and partner-influenced channels

Pipeline Generation & Opportunity Management

  • Proactively identify, generate and qualify new business opportunities across multiple industry verticals.
  • Own and manage a personal pipeline through all stages of the sales cycle, from first engagement through to close.
  • Build and execute territory and account plans that combine direct outbound activity with partner-sourced demand.
  • Maintain accurate, disciplined forecasting and pipeline reporting in CRM to support predictable revenue delivery.
  • Qualify inbound and marketing-generated leads promptly, converting them into well-qualified opportunities.

Partner Collaboration & Co-selling

  • Work closely with Channel Managers and partner organisations to jointly identify, develop and progress new business opportunities.
  • Support partners in building their own self-generated pipeline by sharing best practice, value positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Act as the commercial lead on partner-influenced deals, ensuring smooth handoffs, clear ownership and effective joint execution.
  • Participate in joint account planning, QBRs and enablement sessions with partners to strengthen co-selling motions.
  • Build strong working relationships with partner sales teams to maximise deal velocity and win rates.

Sales Execution & Closing

  • Lead value-based sales conversations with prospective customers, articulating the IFS proposition across industries.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, coordinating internal resources (pre-sales, solution consulting, legal, commercial) as needed.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and lead deals through to signature, consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Apply structured sales methodology to qualification, forecasting and deal progression.
  • Represent IFS professionally in customer and partner-facing meetings, presentations and events.

Revenue Accountability

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual quota targets for net new revenue.
  • Deliver a predictable, well-qualified pipeline sufficient to support consistent quota attainment.
  • Apply disciplined CRM and data-quality standards across all direct and partner-influenced opportunities.
  • Support the execution of relevant IFS marketing campaigns and partner-related events within the territory.

Qualifications

  • Strong Business Development background with a proven track record of self-sourcing and closing new business.
  • Demonstrated experience selling SaaS applications, with a solid understanding of SaaS sales motions and buying cycles.
  • Ideally MEDDPICC trained.
  • Experience managing quota-carrying targets in a direct or channel-influenced sales environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with channel partners to jointly develop and close opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and value-based selling methodologies.
  • Experience within AI, ERP, EAM and/or FSM markets preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent opportunities across different industries and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and executive-engagement skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • University degree, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
