Backend PHP Developer

Key Responsibilities

As part of a passionate team of developers based in Vietnam, you will

• Integrate and create offers aligned with business needs
• Develop the connections between the various offers/operators and our platform
• Carry out developments, integration, and unit testing during project phases
• Contribute to team discussions on technology and architecture choices
• Ensure the maintenance, bug fixes, and software evolution of all developments
• Detect and diagnose issues, and proactively suggest improvements and fixes

• PHP 8+
• PostgreSQL
• Couchbase
• REST API
• Docker, CI/CD (GitLab), PHPStorm
• AWS
• Git, GitLab
• JIRA, Confluence

Technical Skills

• 2+ years of experience in PHP 8 development, OOP, Composer, PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture in PHP and at least one framework: Laravel or Symfony
• Experience in Backend development, REST API consumption, SOAP/XML Webservices
• Commitment to code quality, maintainability, and reusability
• Familiarity with Git / GitLab and solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Soft Skills

• Adaptable, autonomous, rigorous and organized, with a drive to deliver quality services using Agile methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication in English
• Genuine passion for new technologies and active technology watch
• Enjoy problem-solving, end-to-end incident investigation, and continuous platform improvement

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CouchBase, Redis & RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of Scrum / Kanban/ Jira
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Knowledge of a PHP testing framework — TDD or BDD (PHPUnit, Behat, etc.)
• Good practical knowledge of key PHP Design Patterns
