About The Role
Our  Strategic Planning Team  plays a crucial role in translating high-level business goals into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment across departments and building a bridge between the finance department and the supply business teams. By breaking down ABOUT YOU’s overall revenue and profit goals into clear, consumable input, we empower teams to work efficiently toward achieving company objectives. Planning is conducted at different levels of granularity – from the strategic 5-year plan to the fiscal year plan, monthly targets, and daily forecasts. We continuously monitor our KPIs, analyze deviations, and drive corrective actions. Through precise forecasting and target setting, as well as campaigns and performance analysis, we provide data-driven insights and hence support and guide our various stakeholders, like Pricing, Marketing, Merchandise Planning, Partner Management or Logistics, in their business decisions.
- Strategically plan key business metrics from top-line revenue and discounts down to contribution margin across diverse planning cycles such as fiscal year planning, monthly targets, and rolling 16-week forecasts
- Align annual budgets with business teams such as Buying, Merchandise Planning, and Partner Management, and track target achievement throughout the year
- Monitor current trading and understand performance drivers to create robust and high-accuracy forecasts
- Continuously track core business and performance metrics, analyze plan deviations, and provide clear recommendations for action
- Partner closely with the Pricing, Campaigns, and Marketing teams to drive the commercial steering of ABOUT YOU
- Prepare cross-team ad hoc analyses and build dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across teams
- Drive process optimization and further automate our planning processes
- University degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
- Initial relevant professional experience in planning, finance, controlling, or management consulting, ideally in a dynamic e-commerce or fashion environment
- Good understanding of common performance metrics and excellent MS Excel skills
- Strong analytical mindset, strong ownership, entrepreneurial drive, and hands-on mentality
- Very good German or English skills
