• What will you do?

• Independently work on complex projects without supervision from senior team members
• Communicate if client requests are shifting deadlines, if new requests are outside of the scope of SOW, or any other potential risks
• Meet the client in an open discussion regarding the topic and discuss other potential solutions and approaches
• Lead smaller project teams towards meeting the project deliverables with high quality standards with the occasional assistance of senior team members
• Provide estimates for entire project and the project team members, with the occasional assistance of senior team members; estimates sign-off by more senior team member is required
• Write client facing documentation independently; Client facing documentation sign-off by more senior team member is required
• Perform the role of responsible Bioinformatician for projects in different Bioinformatics areas when required
• Present (internal or customer) projects and results at conferences, or assist in workshop implementation
• Design, develop and maintain various Bioinformatics analysis pipelines and solutions for analyzing and managing clinical NGS data

Requirements

What do you bring to the table?

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong platform knowledge - tool wrapping, pipeline assembling, optimizations
• Strong understanding of several Bioinformatics areas in which you can contribute in open discussions with clients
• Good programming skills - Python/R and shell scripting
• BSc / MSc in Bioinformatics, or in other relevant field - Engineering, Computer science, Molecular biology, Pharmacy, Mathematics, Statistics, etc. with minimum 3 years of relevant experience (BSc) or 2 years of relevant industry experience (MSc)
