In this role, you will help ensure that mission-critical systems meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements, supporting warfighters and safeguarding national security.

How a Test Engineer Will Make an Impact

As a Test Engineer, you will define, develop, and execute test plans and automated scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. • Support test readiness reviews, audits, and stakeholder demonstrations with clear test evidence and metrics.
  • Work within Agile and DevSecOps frameworks to provide timely test feedback and support sprint and release deliverables.
  • Participate in test data creation, environment setup, and configuration for both classified and unclassified networks.
  • Collaborate with developers, operations, and security teams to drive early bug detection, quality improvements, and continuous testing practices.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for test procedures, findings, and quality metrics to support accreditation and customer reporting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Years of Experience: 5–10 years in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.
  • Certifications Preferred: Security+, ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced), Certified JMeter Performance Tester, or similar certifications

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Experience with load and performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, qTest).
  • Understanding of security testing practices and tools (e.g., Nessus, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) is a plus.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe teams.
  • Knowledge of DoD environments, STIG compliance, and security authorization processes (RMF, ATO) is a strong plus.
