Base Salary $132,533 - $152,406 + 17% superannuation + Full clinical loading pro-rata for eligible candidates

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Medicine and Health is seeking 2 Lecturers (Clinical Education) to contribute to innovative teaching and learning within postgraduate medical education in critical care medicine. Play an important role in delivering high-quality educational experiences, supporting student learning, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of curriculum, assessment, and teaching practices. The role will focus on online postgraduate coursework programs and collaboration with academic colleagues to deliver outstanding educational outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to

undertake teaching activities, applying relevant clinical expertise to support student learning
contribute to the design, delivery and continuous improvement of teaching, learning, and assessment materials
engage in innovative and contemporary educational practices that enhance the student experience
provide mentoring and academic guidance to students
support and collaborate with academic colleagues to promote effective teaching practice
contribute to faculty meetings, administrative activities and strategic initiatives as required
maintain productive relationships with relevant professional, industry and academic stakeholders
participate in on-campus activities, with an expectation of approximately 50% face-to-face attendance
undertake professional development in higher education teaching, including completion of a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education or an approved fellowship pathway where required by the University.

About you

grad cert or AFHEA/FHEA is preferred/highly desirable
postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional expertise
demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and learning environments
understanding of contemporary teaching practice and curriculum design principles
experience mentoring, supervising or supporting learners and colleagues
excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative academic environment
current professional expertise and experience relevant to the discipline or clinical context.
