About The Role
- AECOM  is seeking a  Structural Engineering Graduate  for a new position to be based in  Kitchener, Ontario . 
- This is a new full time position expected to start in May 2027.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to
- Builds analytic and design skills.
- Conducts structural engineering designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Prepare and review of contract specifications including cost estimates and quantities.
- Undertake site inspection of structures within the framework of a prescribed methodology.
- Provide periodic site reviews to monitor a contractor’s performance in construction, including attendance at site meetings, and preparation of site visit reports.
- Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a good driving record.
- Ability and willingness to work from the Kitchener office two to three days per week, in accordance with the team’s current hybrid work requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior professional
- Previous internship, co-op, or practical experience in structural engineering or related field
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, and STAAD.Pro
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance, including meeting the residency requirement of having lived in Canada for the past five years
- Relocation is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
